The Vista Tower which will be the third tallest building in Chicago when it is completed later in 2020 is also the tallest structure in the world designed by a woman (Jeanne Gang). It presents itself as three interconnected towers of differing heights that are made up of stacks of tapering, truncated pyramids that alternate between right side up and upside down. The curvilinear shape that this creates is heightened by the use of six different shades of glass in the cladding.
This model is still a work in progress much like the real building. Some of the construction pictures of this building that I have seen do not match the renders originally released by Studio Gang and so they clearly have made design changes as the construction has progressed. I am hoping to update this model at some point with all of details I have currently omitted (the balconies, mechanical floors and the blow-through floor).
