THE BUILDING
432 Park Avenue is one of the first in a new generation of super-slender towers rising along 57th Street in New York which has been dubbed the Billionaires’ Row. When it opened in 2015, 432 Park Avenue was the tallest residential building in the world. With a square footprint measuring just 93 feet on a side, the building has a height-to-width ratio of 15:1. It is divided into 7 segments, each with 12 occupied floors. Between each of these segments is a two-story tall mechanical section that is unenclosed to allow wind gusts to pass through the building (to mitigate swaying due to wind).
